The Equipment Pool Assistant is responsible to receive requests for patient care equipment and supplies and to deliver them to and from designated areas. Will use systems to track hospital and rental equipment for daily inventory. cleaning, and set-up. Will also perform basic repairs of equipment. A primary focus is on customer service and meeting customer requests and expectations. Appropriately receives equipment requests using hospital tracking system and delivers/retrieves equipment and supplies in the most time efficient manner possible, including contacting equipment rental companies to obtain necessary equipment
Performs daily inventory, cleaning, sterilization (including high-level disinfection) and set-up, as well as basic equipment troubleshooting and repairs to ensure proper functioning
Coordinates PM/repair schedules with Clinical Engineering, performs quality control checks, and maintains all required documentation and ensures appropriate use of PM stickers and maintenance processes
Maintains an appropriate department inventory of supplies (including medical gas) and equipment to effectively manage patient care needs and makes appropriate use of systems for effective tracking

Minimum 6 months experience in a patient care, hospital setting
