The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions. collecting and compiling patient data. assembling medical records. and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required.
Rate Minimum $15.23 Midpoint $17.08 Maximum $18.92

ADM_Accurately prepares correspondence, documents, forms and reports. Establishes and maintains effective filing systems, and provides excellent departmental telephone and reception coverage
ADM_Effectively uses all applicable computer and office systems/procedures to coordinate documentation, data, and information for the shift to ensure timely communication and smooth operations. Ensures appropriate inventory of supplies and proper functioning of equipment
PNT_CARE Engages in caring behaviors while effectively assisting with patient care activities as directed by the RN, including assisting with patient transportation, hygiene, elimination, and routine comfort measures. Appropriately assists with specimen collection following infection control procedures and delivers medication as appropriate, in a timely manner

Basic Life Support
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions
Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
